Hydrated Lime is used as performance additive and functional filler in plastic application. It reduces the cost with improvements in properties like surface finish as well as strengthen in terms of impact and tensile and hoop stress.

GCC is widely used as a filler in plastic products, comprising up to 25% of the volume, adding density, improving rheology and reducing cost. GCC is often blended or "coated" with additives such as stearic acid to aid bonding within the plastic.



Coated PCC increases the dispensability of the PCC in the polymer or solvent as well as its compatibility with the polymer or solvent, which in turn maximises the performance and efficiency of the PCC. In manufacturing high graded PVC piping, Stearic Acid based PCC is often used with titanate compounds to modify surface tension properties of the fillers, hence reducing oil absorption.

Coated PCC is also ideal in improving the mechanic performance of poly composite, in PVC electric cable and wire, PVC building Materials. They are used in the production of polyethylene (PE) films. Improves impact and resistance and tear strength. Commonly used for breathable films which aid in pore formation of breathable film when it is stretched. Commonly used in the production of diapers.

Uncoated Nano PCC is often used Unsaturated Polyester Gel Coats for protection and enhance durability.

Coated Nano PCC usage is found in manufacturing High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) process like injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion coating. Not only it allows polymers to heat and cool faster, it results in significant energy savings through improved productivity, higher outputs, and faster film conversion.

In Plastic PVC production, Coated Nano PCC is used to facilitate in high efficient filters and impact modifiers to increase strength at low temperature. It is also used in PVC window profiles for saving cost, improves gloss and surface finish as compared to using GCC.

Coated Nano PCC helps in the development of the physical properties of thermoplastics, e.g, Polypropylene (PP). PP is low cost, good recyclability, high mechanical properties but it has low modulus and poor impact resistances. Coated Nano PCC is used as reinforcing filler for strong physical performance (Improves tensile, impact, density), pigment / TiO2 / colour extender in PVC, PP and reduces the cost by acting as filler, replacing the use of expensive raw resin.
